I don’t need this shit. I’m tired of waiting for you to mess up so I can prove you guilty. From now on, even if I just THINK you’re guilty, then your guilty. A partner should not make the other feel this way, and I’m filled with so much doubt and suspicion, but why? Why do I feel this way? I sit really all just me? If you’re so innocent, then why do I keep feeling this way? it shouldn’t be this hard, it should just be. If I feel you are interested in another, then that’s no good for me. I should be reassured and not have doubts. I am starting to see that I am a self assured and confident in myself and what I want in a partner, and I do not want a partner that makes me feel this way.
But is that what the song is about? isn’t the song about the insecurities of this girl? yep. if she wasn’t so insecure and doubtful and fearful, then she wouldn’t be singing this tune. stick with the original sentiment.
She IS a doubtful, unassured woman who is letting her imagination get the best of her. THATS the song. We all have let some doubts get the best of us at some time in our life? A normal thing to go through and experience? But do we keep hanging on to that when it makes us feel so bad? wouldn’t a natural evolution be to move away from what makes us uncomfortable? Is the song about making that decision or having that epiphany?
I don’t have to wait for you to mess up. If I keep waiting, will I out-wait this natural little phase I’m going through? Will I grow out of it? Or will I continue to be stuck here because it’s not me its you?
I think I know it’s me. not you. I think that’s the song, it’s not you, you have not done anything wrong but yet I let the imagination and jealousy get the best of me. But do you help me past it? do you reassure me? Is it your fob to reassure me? don’t we all need a little help sometimes? shouldn’t your partner help you? If he keeps talking to her, that’s not helping, but also is not doing anything wrong. does it matter? shouldn’t he be the bigger person to help me and reassure me, or am I the dumbass for feeing so insecure? should I be the bigger person and swallow down that jealousy and wait it out? If he’s not doing anything wrong, then it’s not on him? but if he loved me enough to care about keeping me… he should help. but how can he help if he doesn’t know that I feel this way? the song sentiment is he doesn’t know and that I am secretly watching for him to mess up and just waiting for him to mess up. I’m watching so closely that it makes me see things that aren’t really there.
